Statement from the NWS

The NWS is thinking about the same thing we are thinking here at The Weather Center.Looks like they targeted the same areas as we did for the heaviest snow fall... Here is part of what the NWS has in the winter storm warning....
A WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MUCH OF CNTL MN INTO WEST CNTL WI.FOR MON & MONDAY NIGHT. THE WARNING IS LOCATED NO. OF A LINE FROM NEAR MONTEVIDEO AND FARIBAULT IN MN.TO EAU CLAIRE WI. THE WARNING INCLUDES ALEXANDRIA.WILLMAR.HUTCHINSON.& ST CLOUD BEGINNING AT 6 AM MONDAY.THE TWIN CITIES METRO.FARIBAULT & RED WING AT 9 AM.


AND LITTLE FALLS.CAMBRIDGE.LAKE ELMO.RICE LAKE & EAU CLAIRE WI BEGINNING AT NOON. FIVE TO NINE INCHES OF SNOW ARE FORECAST TO OCCUR WITHIN THE WARNING AREA.WITH THE HIGHER
