A look back at July & the Fall forecast.

***Notice this data is for Barron County only***


Time to take a look a back at July….First off we will start with the thunderstorm days.

There was 9 non severe thunderstorm days. Days with non severe thunderstorms are as follows.

JULY…5TH, 11TH, 15TH, 16Th, 18TH, 24TH, 26TH, 27TH, and the 31th ….

There was 6 severe thunderstorm days…Days with severe thunderstorms are as follows.

JULY… 1st, 11th, 10th, 19th, 23rd, and the 30th

This would give us a total of 15 thunderstorm days for the month of July..

***Let’s see how this compares to last year’s data…***

July 2010 we had 10 thunderstorms total… 6 of them days were severe thunderstorm days.

As you can see we stayed the same number on the severe thunderstorm days, however what is interesting we jumped 5 days on the non severe thunderstorm days….

***Let’s look at the watches that were issued..***
There was no tornado watches issued. There was 6 severe thunderstorm watches issued. Days that had watches issued are as follows.
JULY… 1st, 10th, 19th,(two on the 19th) 30th, (two on this day).


***Let’s look at the warnings that were issued***.
We had a total of 2 tornado warnings. We had a total of 8 severe thunderstorm warnings…This would give us a total of 10 warnings issued in July.
 Days that had tornado warnings are as follows.

JULY.. 19th two on this day.

Days that had severe thunderstorm warning issued are as follows.

JULY… 1st, (had two this day) 19th, (had three this day) 23rd, 30th, (we had two issued on this day)


So July was a very active one this year…..

Now let’s look at the temps…

The hottest day was July 1st when it hit 100.3° here at the office. What made this day feel really bad was the high dewpoints we had 82.9°.

What was interesting about this month we had more nights that were warmer than normal…. Daytime temps believe it or not were just slightly above normal when averaged out. This is the office data…

They were warmer than we were as you can see…

So what will August hold for us….

Temps are forecasted to be near normal..Precipitation is forecasted to be near normal as well.

***Aug 8th through Aug 14th.***

Temps are forecasted to be near to slightly below normal….Precipitation is forecasted to be near normal.

***The monthly outlook for Aug.***

Temps and precip are forecasted to average out to be near normal….

***THE FALL FORECAST***

August through October temps are forecasted to average out to near to slightly above normal…Preicip is forecasted to average out to near normal…Looks like we will be in for a nice fall this year!
