The area forecast..

Forecast problems...None, pervious forecast looks to have a great handle on things..See no reasons to change it....

CURRENT CONDITIONS....

Temps at this 9 AM hr are holding in the lower to middle 50s across the FA...Winds ranging from 3 to 8 MPH...Satellite showing MSTLY CDLY skies...A few breaks have been noted in my Central and Southern FA...They should be filling back in soon,as more low level clouds spin Southwards...Some light drizzle has been showing up in a few SFC OBS reports...So don't be shocked to some areas of drizzle from time to time this morning...



SFC ANALYSIS....

Pesky upper level low still spinning over the GRTLKS...We find a 1014 MB high pressure over Southern SD.Northern NE..FNTL BNDRY runs from CO down through OK over to a 1004 MB low pressure sitting over Southern TN..Another FNTL BNDRY runs Eastwards from said low up to a 1000 -1003 MB low pressure over Eastern MD..Meanwhile we see a weak are of low pressure over the Northern Rockies....

TODAY THROUGH TONIGHT.....

FA will still be close enough to the upper level low...So would expect to see another cloudy and cold day...As everyone once again is asking what happen to summer...Highs to today should range from the lower to middle 60s......Lows tonight fall back into the lower 50s...Colder up North....May see a few breaks in the clouds from time to time ...Looking at the satellite loop...Clouds are spinning Southwards out of Canada..So MSTLY CDLY skies shall be the rule today and into most of tonight...

THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY....

Not much to talk about here...Temps will start their upward climb back into the middles 70s for highs,while lows hold onto the middle 50s....Under PTLY CDLY skies...Friday night we may see more clouds as a weak system moves into and through the FA..Not a lot of moisture so not thrilled about rain chances ATTM.....

4 OF JULY THROUGH SUNDAY....

The day is really setting up to one of those great days with PTLY CDLY skies and temps in the middle 70s..Not as hot as some years,not as cold either...So a great day for picnics and the lake for some boating/skiing....Sat evening....Lots of towns are FCSTD to have fireworks...Not nature either...So head out to your favorite town and enjoy the light show...FCST temps for 10 PM..Fireworks time...Temps should be right around the middle 60s to upper 60s...Side note...I found Cumberland to have one of the best fireworks shows around the area....Sunday still looking like another great day for the lake....Highs in the middle 70s..Lows both nights fall into the middle 50s..So to sum it up....A great weekend for any event you may have planned..Great for camping,water skiing,fishing...You get the picture....

MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY......

Temps really start to climb...Highs head for the upper 70s to lower 80s,while lows fall back into the middle 50s...Under sunny to PTLY CDLY skies....

LONG TERM.....(JULY 09 THROUGH JULY 17)

Temps start the period in the lower 80s however by Temps will warm rather fast into the middle to upper 80s..Still may see a few days where we hit the 90 degree mark...Not saying there wont be a cool day here and there...With clouds and showers and thunderstorms around....Which brings us to the precip dept...Does look like an active period coming up.....Thur the 09 looks like we have one system moving in...This one may give us a chance at strong to severe thunderstorms,However this is way out in time I still don't buy into that....Friday the 10 looks like another interesting day through out the FA,mainly the Central and Northern areas....Sunday the 11 Another system dives Southwards and brings us another chance of showers and thunderstorms...Once again models want to bring in strong to severe thunderstorms...I won't buy into this as it's way out in time..Will buy into the showers and thunderstorms through said times though....Another system moves into the area from the Northwest around the Tue the 14 so another shot at showers and thunderstorms...Fri the 17... A system moves in from the Southwest should bring us in a chance of showers and thunderstorms.....So to sum up the long term FCST cycle.....Warm and humid with off and on chances of showers and thunderstorms.....Once we get closer to this time frame we will be watching for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms across the FA.....So summer will be coming back from vacation.....
